DAVE COOK

Dave’s love of photography began as a desire to capture the beauty of nature as it unfolded in his travels and explorations.  What began as taking quick pictures through the window while driving from one adventure to the next evolved into thoughtfully composed images, better equipment and a growing passion for both nature and photography.

Dave left college for the securities business and spent 15 years as a stockbroker.  After finding success, but not true happiness, he chose to pursue his deepest passion: music.  After leaving the corporate world, Dave graduated from The Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts.  With his appreciation as a musician, as well as his enthusiasm for sharing music with others, he became a popular radio personality in several markets in Detroit and across Michigan.

This led to the opportunity to be a free-lance voice-over artist, which allowed him the freedom to fully embrace two of his other passions: travel and nature.  Dave began incorporating all of these together, traveling the country for music and exploring national parks and local scenery on the way.

Photographic documentation of these trips has inspired and added to Dave’s growing portfolio.  During his travels, Dave met and fell in love with his fiancée Megan, and also discovered the inspiring beauty of Sedona and the Oak Creek Canyon.  Within a year of relocating to Arizona, they had the opportunity to live in Sedona and have been happy to call the Red Rocks home ever since.
